Jon-Ersgårdens many-hued yarn is spun from the
naturally coloured wool of our own northern Swedish breed of sheep.
The yarn is S-spun and Z-twisted, an idea based on the yarn from a plain looped
glove, which was discovered in a peat bog. It is dated to 1510-1640 BC.

The yarn is therefore suitable for twined knitting and plain looping, as opposed to the
type used in normal knitting. When machine-knitting or weaving, the twist is unimportant,
as the yarn is twisted so little in these techniques.
Our yarn is available in six colours, a twist of eight different shades.
